What does Herkeios do?+
Herkeios turns the sensors you already have — or the ones you choose to add — into drone detection for your site. It brings them together into one real-time picture of your airspace, and hands verified detections to your team.
Do I need to buy new hardware?+
No proprietary hardware. Herkeios runs on the cameras and sensors you already have, plus a local server on your site.
What sensors does it work with?+
Standard IP cameras, plus RF, acoustic and Remote ID sensors.
Can I start with just the cameras I already have?+
Yes. Herkeios works with the CCTV cameras (ONVIF) you already have.
Can it detect drones that don't broadcast Remote ID (“dark drones”)?+
In many cases, yes — Herkeios doesn't rely on a drone broadcasting Remote ID. How much it catches depends on the drone, the site and the sensors you use.
Does it need an internet connection to work?+
Detection runs on your site and keeps working without internet. Reporting and the cloud dashboard need a connection.
Who is Herkeios built for?+
Critical infrastructure operators, airports, stadiums, prisons, commercial and industrial sites, and the security teams that protect them.
What happens when Herkeios detects something?+
It's verified, checked against your site's zones and logged, and shown to your security team on a live dashboard, whether or not it triggers an alert.
Does it log everything, or just threats?+
Every tracked object is logged, not just flagged threats — including your own authorized flights — so unusual use of your own fleet doesn't go unnoticed either.
How is my detection data handled?+
You hold the encryption keys. Sensitive detection data is encrypted on your site before it reaches the cloud, and Herkeios can't decrypt it. Our support team sees system health (uptime, sync status, error rates), not your detection data. (This site itself has no analytics or tracking — see Legal.)
How does support work if Herkeios can't see my data?+
Our support team monitors system health — uptime, sync status and error rates — without seeing your detection data. Hands-on work on your site happens only when you have switched support access on, and every access is logged for you to see.
